Reid Lampert grew up immersed in aviation and law, and it is natural that he became an aviation safety attorney. Reid first soloed a glider just days after his 14th birthday and now holds a pilot’s certificate for single-engine and multi-engine airplanes and an instrument rating.

Reid attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he majored in Political Science with a minor in History. During his senior year, Reid moved to Washington, D.C. and worked as an intern for the Federal Aviation Administration in its Office of Policy, International Affairs, and Environment. Reid assisted in the Division’s work on international aviation agreements, cooperation, and educational programs, focusing on the African, European, and Middle Eastern regions.

Reid returned to Colorado and attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he received the Dean’s Scholarship. During law school, Reid obtained real-world experience through the University’s nationally recognized externship program. In the summer and fall of 2019, Reid was a student law clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Michael E. Hegarty at the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.

While working at the District Court, Reid assisted in drafting court orders and observed the inner workings of a federal courtroom and judge’s chambers. He also participated in federal judicially mandated settlement conferences, gaining insight into how to effectively resolve cases and obtain favorable outcomes for clients.

Reid completed advanced aircraft simulator training at SIMCOM and flies the firm’s Beechcraft 58-P Baron while practicing aviation law as part of the firm’s international aviation practice. With his combined experience in aviation and law, Reid represents clients in aviation accident litigation while seeking to enhance aviation safety.

He represents families and survivors in fatal aviation accident claims involving technical investigation and operational issues.
