– Reid Lampert
Reid Lampert is an attorney at Katzman, Lampert & Stoll, where he represents passengers and families in aviation accident litigation, including commercial airline accident claims and general aviation crash cases. He holds a Private Pilot certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (2019), with single-engine and multiengine airplane ratings and an instrument airplane rating. (Source: FAA Airman Certification registry.) Reid first soloed a glider just days after his 14th birthday.
Reid’s litigation practice includes representing passengers and families in claims against commercial airlines including United Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Volaris, as well as general aviation operators. His work involves the investigation and analysis of aviation accident matters — including aircraft operations, human factors, and technical issues that contribute to loss of control or system failure — as part of the firm’s aviation accident litigation practice.
Reid completed advanced aircraft simulator training at SIMCOM and flies the firm’s Beechcraft 58-P Baron. As an active pilot with multiengine and instrument ratings, he brings practical familiarity with flight operations, aircraft systems, and pilot decision-making to aviation accident cases.
Before law school, Reid interned for the Federal Aviation Administration in its Office of Policy, International Affairs, and Environment in Washington, D.C., assisting the division’s work on international aviation agreements, cooperation, and educational programs across the African, European, and Middle Eastern regions.
Reid attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he majored in Political Science with a minor in History. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship. During law school, he served as a student law clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Michael E. Hegarty at the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, where he assisted in drafting court orders, observed federal courtroom and chambers practice, and participated in judicially supervised settlement conferences.
Reid served as co-counsel, with Bruce Lampert, for the plaintiffs in Cannon v. Smiling Aviation (U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado), a wrongful-death matter brought by the surviving spouse and estate of a man killed in an aircraft accident; the case settled in 2025.
